Taken In, SG Bryant

Simon Bryant is a local Canberra author who was seeking some publicity for his latest book, Taken In. The novel is a work of historical-fiction, based on the lives of Australian women in the late 1800s. It’s a gripping tale of a missing child interlaced with the suffragette movement, emerging feminism, and the sinister baby farming network.

Stitch Communications worked closely with Simon to create an interesting media release in the form of an old newspaper. This contained a summary of the book, about the author, the historical facts included in the novel and suggested talking points.

The release, and signed copies of the book, was sent digitally to a range of media outlets and saw coverage across HerCanberra, ArtSound FM, 2CC and BMA Magazine.

The media communications also sought to introduce a number of journalists to Simon as he continues to write his third book.

“It was a pleasure working with Jess and Stitch Communications on the marketing of my novel, Taken In. Jess is very easy to get along with, has great creative ideas, and very importantly, has an excellent network of marketing contacts.”
